Welcome to Kamado Jigoku
Kamado Jigoku (Cooking Pot Hell) is one of the tourist attractions representing the various hells at Beppu Onsen, Oita, which discharges the largest amount of hot spring water in Japan.
Kamado Jigoku was named after an ancient myth in which steamed rice was cooked with the fumarolic gas discharged at 98 degrees Celsius as an offering to the Ujigami (guardian god) for the Kamado Hachimangu Shrine Festival.
There are six places of interest from the 1st District through the 6th District: it is a great place to see the different hells in one spot.
